The Dajjal; Islam’s Antichrist

By Rev. Kevin L. Wilson

The third primary character that dominates Islamic eschatology is a man whose full title is Al-Maseeh (The Messiah) Ad-Dajjal, (The Liar/Deceiver). Usually just referred to as the Dajjal, he is a bizarre character whose description and story seem far more fantastic than either the Mahdi or the Muslim Jesus. There are numerous hadith that contain descriptions of the Dajjal. Here we will just touch on the most common of these traditions to give an overview of just who this mysterious and strange person is.

The Great Deceiver

The Dajjal is described as being a deceiver who will have miraculous powers and who will temporarily hold power over the whole earth:
The Prophet was warning us that in the last days there would be someone who would deceive all of humanity. The Dajjal will possess power over this world. Thus, Muslims must be careful not to have the love of the world in their hearts so they won’t leave their religion and follow him. He will be able to heal the sick by wiping his hand on them, like Jesus did, but with this deceit the Dajjal will lead people down the path to hell. Thus the Dajjal is the false Messiah, or Anti-Christ (Massih ad-Dajjal). He will pretend to be the Messiah, and deceive people by showing them amazing powers.
He is One Eyed

Possibly the most frequently quoted reference to the Dajjal is that he is blind in one eye. The Hadith, however, are contradictory regarding which eye is blind:
Allah's Messenger made a mention of Dajjal in the presence of the people and said: Allah is not one-eyed and behold that Dajjal is blind of the right eye and his eye would be like a floating grape.
Allah's Messenger said: Dajjal is blind of left eye with thick hair and there would be a garden and fire with him and his fire would be a garden and his garden would be fire.
Infidel

The Dajjal is sometimes said to have the word “Infidel” (Kaafir) written in-between his eyes, possibly on his forehead. But this word will only be perceptible to true Muslims, and no one else:
Allah's Messenger said: Dajjal is blind of one eye and there is written between his eyes the word "kaafir" (unbeliever/infidel). He then spelled the word as k. f. r., which every Muslim would be able to read.
Very important is that; this word “Kafir” will be readable only by the believer, literate or illiterate. Non-believer: let him be educated from “Oxford” or “Harvard” will not be able to read it.
A False Miracle Worker

Sheikh Kabbani describes some of the Dajjal’s miraculous powers:
The Dajjal will have powers of the devil. He will terrorize the Muslims into following him, converting them into unbelief. He will conceal the truth and bring forth falsehood. The prophet said that the Dajjal will have the power to show the image of one’s dead ancestors on his hand, like a television screen. The relative will say, “Oh my son! This man is correct. I am in Paradise because I was good and I believed in him.” In reality that relative is in hell. If the relative says, “Believe in this man, I am in hell because I didn’t believe,” one must say to the Dajjal, “No, he is in Paradise. This is false.”
The Prophet said: the Dajjal will say to a Bedouin Arab, “What will you think if I bring your father and mother back to life for you? Will you bear witness that I am your lord?" The Bedouin will say, “Yes.” So two devils will assume the appearance of his father and mother, and say, “O my son, follow him for he is your lord…”
The Dajjal will claim to be Jesus Christ and will claim to be Divine

The above tradition shows that the Dajjal’s deceptive signs will be for the purpose of leading people into believing that the Dajjal is actually their “lord”. Muslim scholars universally have concluded that the Dajjal will claim to be divine. According to the very well known Muslim scholar, Abu Ameenah Bilal Phillips, the Dajjal, “will claim to be God”.

While there are no specific traditions that state such directly, as a result of the fact that the Dajjal is, according to Islamic tradition, the false Jewish Messiah who claims to be God, most Muslims have deduced that the Dajjal will thus claim to be Jesus Christ by name.

The Dajjal and his Magic Mule

Muslim Scholar Muhammad Ali ibn Zubair Ali says of the Dajjal, “He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a giant mule… He will travel the entire world.” As strange as this is, it also bears a faint resemblance to Jesus the Messiah who also rode a donkey as he entered Jerusalem during the final week of his ministry.

Cities of Refuge

It is said that there are three cities that the Dajjal may not enter; Mecca, Medina and Damascus. Muslims are encouraged to seek refuge from the Dajjal in one of these three cities:
The Prophet said, "Ad-Dajjal will come to Medina and find the angels guarding it. So Allah willing, neither Ad-Dajjal, nor plague will be able to come near it."
The coming of the Anti-Christ (Dajjal) must occur in the Last Days. This dreadful event is approaching, and in that time only three cities will be safe: Makka, Madina, and Sham (Damascus). If anyone wants safety in that time he will have to run to one of these three cities.
Apart from these three cities, it is said that the Dajjal will enter every single city, town and village in the world to test and possibly deceive every human alive.

A Surah of Protection

Muslims believe that if they memorize a particular portion of the Quran that they will be protected from the Dajjal. It is somewhat like a verbal amulet that protects one from the powers of evil:
If the Dajjal comes upon someone who has memorized the first ten verses of Surat al Kahf (Chapter of the Cave) he cannot harm him. And whoever memorizes the last verses of Surat al-Kahf will have light on the day of Judgement.
He will be Jewish and will be followed by Jews and women

Based on various Islamic traditions, Muslims believe that the Dajjal will be Jewish. The title of a book by Muslim author Matloob Ahmed Qasmi, Emergence of the Dajjal, the Jewish King couldn’t make this point more clearly. Imam Sheikh Ibrahim Madhi of the Palestinian Authority articulated the Islamic perspective regarding the expectation of the Jewish people quite well in one of his sermons:
The Jews await the false Jewish messiah, while we await, with Allah's help… the Mahdi and Jesus, peace be upon him. Jesus's pure hands will murder the false Jewish messiah. Where? In the city of Lod, in Palestine. Palestine will be, as it was in the past, a graveyard for the invaders.
Samuel Shahid, a Christian Arab scholar in his scholarly study of Islamic eschatology says of the Dajjal that he will be, “the embodiment of the Jewish hope and longing. The bulk of his army is recruited from the Jews.”

As mentioned in the last chapter, the followers of the Dajjal will primarily consist of Jews and women. It is mentioned that women are very ignorant and as such are easily misled. Veliankode states, “Meanwhile, women will also fall to the deviant line of the Antichrist because of their unawareness and ignorance of Islam.”

Slain by the Muslim Jesus

As mentioned in the last chapter, it will be the Muslim Jesus who will kill the Dajjal and his followers:
Allah's Messenger said: …the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah (Dajjal) would see him… Allah would kill them by his (Jesus’) hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).
Comparing the Biblical Jesus and the Dajjal

The third amazing parallel between biblical eschatology and Islamic eschatology is the person of the Dajjal, the Islamic Antichrist figure. Despite all of the wild and fantastic descriptions of the Dajjal, if we boil down the Muslim belief regarding the Dajjal to its simplest and most important terms, we basically have a man who will claim to be divine and will claim to be Jesus Christ the Jewish Messiah. He will defend Israel against the Mahdi and the Muslim Jesus and he will deceive many people into leaving Islam.

While I certainly do not believe that there will ever come a figure into the world as described in the Islamic traditions - a great deceiver who is blind in one eye, flying around the earth on some form of giant mule - there will however come Jesus (the real one), who will in many very crucial ways, fulfill the Muslim expectations of the Dajjal.

The Return of Jesus Christ

The real Jesus, however, will indeed come as a divine defender of Israel and her people as well as Israel’s spiritual children, the Christians. If the Islamic prophecies are indeed intertwined with the unfolding of biblical prophecy, then we can see that part of Satan’s strategy is that when the real Jesus returns, there will already be a worldwide religious leader who will also be claiming to be Jesus, namely the False Prophet. If this were the case, then Muslims worldwide would accuse the real Jesus of being the Dajjal, the Muslim Antichrist/Great Deceiver. Muslims would be particularly convinced of this in light of the fact that the surviving Jews of the earth will acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah. At least six hundred years before Islam ever existed, the Jewish Prophets and the Jewish Apostles described the event of Jesus returning to Israel, defeating her enemies and finally gaining full acceptance among the Jewish people:
On that day I (The Lord) will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. Zechariah 12:10
A day of the Lord is coming... the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.  Zechariah 14:1,3,4
And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.”  Romans 11:26
Put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God… Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel… Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb (Jesus the Messiah), standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had His name and His Father's name written on their foreheads… And they sang a new song…  Revelation 7:3-4; 14:1,3
We see that when Jesus returns to “to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem,” “His feet will (literally) stand on the Mount of Olives.” Jesus will be physically present in Israel. At this time, it is said that those Jews who are alive in Israel will see him and realize that He is “the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him.” Thus the acknowledgement of Jesus as the genuine Jewish Messiah and divine Savior will fill their hearts and, “so all Israel will be saved.”

The Islamic Traditions

Of course, based on the Islamic traditions, Muslims are expecting Jews to acknowledge the Dajjal as the divine Jewish Messiah, thus in the Islamic mind, the Jesus of biblical tradition will fulfill the three most primary Islamic expectations of the Dajjal. Clearly, these traditions will be used by Satan, not only to pre-empt the Muslims of the earth from receiving the real Jesus when He comes, but literally to empower them to attack Him. The plot never seems to stop thickening. Consider the following statement by the well-known Muslim apologist, Osamah Abdallah. The question posited to him was, “What do Muslims believe about the end of the World and Jesus' part in it?” His answer is astonishing as it relates to this discussion:
Briefly, Christians believe that Jesus will come down to earth and fight for the state of Israel… What seems to be quite ironic to me is that those Jews that Jesus is supposedly going to fight for don't even believe in Jesus as GOD himself nor as a Messenger of GOD… Jesus never liked the Jews... Now without being biased, we Muslims have a story that makes a lot more sense and is empty of contradictions! We believe that Jesus will come down to earth toward the end of the world time to fight the army of Satan which will be mostly from the "bad" Jews or "Zionist Jews" as we call them today, and the deceived from the Polytheist Christians or the Trinitarian Christians and the Pagan Polytheists such as Hindus, Buddhists, etc.... Some Jews and many Christians will be among the good and blessed who will fight with Jesus' side. The army of Satan will be led by a person who will claim to be Jesus Christ himself. The Muslims will call him the Dajjal or the Deceiver. The real Jesus' army will fight the Dajjal's army and defeat him. The empire of Israel will fall, and the religion of Islam will prevail.
Conclusion

This is quite amazing. We see that as a direct result of the Islamic apocalyptic traditions, Muslims are expecting two Jesuses to come; the real one and the false one. By Mr. Abdallah’s admission, the real Jesus will be identifiable by the fact that he does not like Jews; indeed he is expected to attack and slaughter them. Likewise the false Jesus (according to Islam) will be clearly identifiable by the fact that he will defend the Jews. Thus, as we have seen, Mr. Abdallah and Muslims everywhere are expecting the Muslim Jesus, along with his leader, the Mahdi, to attack Israel and do battle against Him who Christians understand to be the real Jesus. The battle of Armageddon as prophesied in the Bible may indeed be coming into very clear focus.

JESUS VS. MUHAMMAD

By Rev. Kevin L. Wilson

These verses were taken right out of the Qur'an (Koran) from the lips of Muhammad and the lips of Jesus. It is politically correct to say that Islam is a religion of peace, yet Muhammad may not agree with you in his own words. So called Christian "colonialist" and "crusaders" that killed innocent men, women and children are not "TRUE" Christians. They may have tried to cover their greed by claiming to come in the name of God, but according to Christ Hell awaits them. How do I know that? Because that was not the teachings of Jesus Christ right out of His own mouth.

From the mouth of Muhammad "Qur'an" Koran

From the mouth of Jesus Christ New Testament

M. Khan 9:29: 32 Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded (in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but He). Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."And the Jews say: Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah’s Light (with which Muhammad SAW has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafiroon (disbelievers) hate (it).

Matthew 5:38-45 You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy." But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

M.Khan 47:4  So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah’s Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam), until the war lays down its burden. Thus (you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam (i.e. are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire) or at least come under your protection), but if it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Matthew 5:21-22 You have heard that it was said to those of old, "You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment." But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, "Raca!" shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, "You fool!" shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

Pickthal 48: 29 Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. Thou (O Muhammad) seest them bowing and falling prostrate (in worship), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) acceptance. The mark of them is on their foreheads from the traces of prostration. Such is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Gospel - like as sown corn that sendeth forth its shoot and strengtheneth it and riseth firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers - that He may enrage the disbelievers with (the sight of) them. Allah hath promised, unto such of them as believe and do good works, forgiveness and immense reward.

Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

M.Khan 9:111 Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah’s Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Quran. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

M. Khan 111:1-5 Perish the two hands of Aboo Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre).

Luke 9:52-55 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of."

Shakir 2:191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.

Matthew 5:11-12 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

M. Khan 9:73:  O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination.

Pickthal 9:5:  Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

M. Khan 9:110:  The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Matthew 26:52 But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword."

M. Khan 60:4  Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone," except the saying of Ibrahim (Abraham) to his father: "Verily, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah ." Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return.

Mark 13:13 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

When the threat of death becomes a door to paradise, the final barrier to temporal risk is broken.
When a Christian says from the heart, "To live is Christ and to die is gain," he is free to love no matter what. Some forms of radical Islam may entice martyr-murderers with similar dreams, but
Christian hope is the power to love, not kill. Christian hope produces life-givers, not life-takers.

Jesus lives!

Muhammad is dead.

The God of Jesus Christ sent His Son to die for you.

The god of Muhammad demands that you send your son to die for him.

Christ's disciples were killed for their faith (Acts 12:2; 2 Timothy 4:7).

Mohammed's disciples killed for the faith.

Christ forgave and converted the chief persecutor (1 Timothy 1:13-15).

Mohammed promoted persecution against the "infidels".

Christ was the giver of life (John 10:27-28).

Mohammed was the taker of life.

Christ murdered none but saved many (compare John 12:48).

Mohammed and his fellow warriors murdered thousands.

Christ's aim was voluntary CONVERSION (Acts 3:19).

Mohammed's method was COMPULSION.

Christ preached FAITH (John 6:29, 35).

Mohammed practiced FORCE.

Christ is a DELIVERER (Col. 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10).

Mohammed was a WARRIOR.

Christ conquered his enemies with another kind of sword, the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; Acts 2:37).

Mohammed conquered his enemies with the sword.

Christ said, "Believe and live!" (John 6:47; 11:25-26).

Mohammed said to the masses, "Convert or die!”

Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Ephesians 1:7).

Mohammed was swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15-17).

Christ prayed "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Mohammed preached "Death to the infidels!"

Christ achieved a holy victory on Calvary's cross (Colossians 2:14-15) and His followers share in that victory (John 16:33).

Mohammed declared a holy war (Jihad) against infidels.

Christ constrained people by love (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Mohammed constrained people by conquest.

Christians derive their inspiration from the One who said, "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9).

Modern terrorists derive their inspiration from Mohammed and carry out their despicable atrocities in the name of his god.

Modern day disciples of Christ are deeply grieved at past atrocities carried out by those who were "Christians" in name only (the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, etc.).

Modern day disciples of Mohammed respond to the terrorist attacks by cheering in the streets.

Many Christians are peaceful and peace-loving because they do strictly follow the teachings of their Founder (Romans 12:17-21).

Many Muslims are peaceful and peace-loving because they do not strictly follow the teachings of their founder.

The Bible is authoritative in many languages around the world, for God knows all things and can inspire (and preserve) His Word in more than one language.

Mohammed said the Koran is authoritative only in Arabic, and only in his dialect.

Jesus and His disciples sang hymns, and the Apostle commanded the Lord's Church to sing. (Matthew 26:30, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)

Mohammed hated music.

The Bible requires that a leader in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ must be above reproach, and when this is not true, Christians demand such a fallen leader be removed from leadership. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, 5:19-20)

Mohammed allowed that a Mullah, Imam, or Mufti of Islam can be a terrorist and an amoral animal like Osama bin Laden.

The Bible calls on the Christian to submit to the total change of his life by the Spirit of God -- NO area of life and thought is the choice of the follower. (Romans 12:1-2)

Islam calls on its followers to observe Five Pillars, while all other aspects of life can be vulgar and not affect the Muslim's prospects in Paradise.

The Bible believing Christian looks forward to being with Jesus Christ and is delighted with that. (2 Corinthians 5:8).

The Muslim looks forward to eternity in Paradise where there will be virgins who are used for eternal perpetual copulation.

The Bible teaches that a husband is to love his wife and be willing to die for her. (Ephesians 5:25).

Mohammed said the witness of a woman was half the value of the witness of a man; and Muhammad said a woman goes to Paradise because she satisfies her husband sexually.

Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world; if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight . . . but now is My kingdom not from hence" (John 18:36).

Mohammed called upon his servants to fight.

Christ ordered that the gospel be preached "to the Jew first" (Romans 1:16).

Mohammed ordered death to the Jews (see A. Guillaume, The Life of Muhammad, Oxford University Press [1975], p. 369).

The Bible says, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood" and "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal" (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 10:4).

The Koran says, "Fight in the cause of Allah" (Qu'ran 2.244)."

Christ said, "Preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).

The Koran says, "Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them" (Qu'ran 9.5)."

God inspires His terror into the hearts of believers (Isaiah 8:13).

The Koran says, "I will inspire terror into the hearts of unbelievers" (Qu'ran 8.12)."

The Bible is a missionary manual to spread the gospel of peace to all the world (Romans 10:15).

The Koran (Qu'ran) is a terrorist manual which condones fighting, conflict, terror, slaughter, and genocide against those who do not accept Islam.

Christ's mission was to conquer sin's penalty and power by substitutionary atonement (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18).

Mohammed's Mission was to conquer the world for Allah.

Christ pronounced (in His statement on many false prophets arising) Mohammed to be a false prophet (John 10:10; Matthew 24:11).

Mohammed considered Christ a good prophet.

Christ claimed that He was God (John 10:30-31; John 8:58-59; John 5:18; John 14:9).

Mohammed claimed that there was but one God, Allah.

Jesus Christ is the center of all Christian worship and fellowship, for He is "in the midst" where his saints meet anywhere on earth. (Matthew 18:20, John 4:22-23).

Islam is geocentric, that is, the whole universe is centered on the Kaaba in the Grand Mosque in Mecca in Arabia, and all Muslims pray facing that direction.

Christ's tomb: EMPTY!

Mohammed's Tomb: OCCUPIED!

The Faith offered by Jesus Christ is for "whosoever will" to receive, and all men are permitted to reject it. (Revelation 22:17, John 3:16).

Islam must be received, or you can be killed for rejecting it.

Those who leave the true Church of Jesus Christ are allowed to do so with no revenge.

Those who leave Islam are killed in most Islamic nations.

Now, is a Muslim submitted to Allah and Islam because he loves Allah? NO! He dare not leave Islam, and he is loyal purely out of fear.

The true Bible believer is loyal to Jesus Christ purely out of love.

1 John 4:18-19 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.

This concept is 100% alien to Islam -- There is no love in Islam -- Only fear and hate.

Is the Mahdi Connected to the Antichrist

by Rev. Kevin L. Wilson

In Islam the Mahdi or "Guided One" is the prophesied redeemer of Islam who will stay on earth seven, nine, or nineteen years (depending on the interpretation) before the coming of the day, Yaum al-Qiyamah (literally "Day of the Resurrection" or "Day of the Standing"). Muslims believe the Mahdi will rid the world of error (non-muslim thinking), injustice and tyranny alongside Jesus. The concept of Mahdi is not explicitly mentioned in the Qu'ran, but there are many hadith (traditional sayings of Muhammad) on the Mahdi.

The idea of the Mahdi has been described as important to Sufi Muslims, and a "powerful and central religious idea" for Shia Muslims who believe the Mahdi is the Twelfth Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi who will return from his present state of "hiding". It has gained a strong hold on the imagination of many Muslims worldwide.

Common Sunni and Shia beliefs:
  1. The Mahdi will be a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad of the line of Fatima.
  2. He will bear the name Muhammad.
  3. He will rule for either seven, nine or nineteen years.
  4. His coming will be accompanied by the raising of a Black Standard (black war flag) in Khurasan (modern day Iran).
  5. His coming will be accompanied by the appearance of Dajjal (the anti-Christ) in the East.
  6. He will return with Jesus as a lesser prophet.
Shia and Mahdi

Among Shi'a Muslims "the Mahdi symbol has developed into a powerful and central religious idea Shi'a Muslims believe that the Mahdi is the Twelfth Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, the Twelfth and last Imam, who was born in 868 AD and was hidden by God at the age of five. He is still alive but has been in occultation (hiding) "awaiting the time that God has decreed for his return."

According to traditions the Mahdi be "a young man of medium stature with a handsome face" and black hair and beard. "He will not come in an odd year", will announce himself in Mecca between the corner of the Ka'ba and the station of Abraham and will call on the people to pay allegiance to him. He will then go to Kufa (a city in Iraq).

The Hidden Imam will return as the Mahdi with "a company of his chosen ones." Also part of the return (or Raj'a) will be his enemies led by the one-eyed Dajjal and the Sufyani. The two forces will fight "one final apocalyptic battle" where the Mahdi and his forces will prevail over these forces of evil. After ruling earth for a number of years, Isa Al-Maseeh (Jesus Christ), Imam Husayn and other Imams, prophets and saints will return to earth.

Signs of the Mahdi

Among the most commonly reported signs of the advent of the Madhdi in Shia hadith are:
  1. Before his coming will come the red death and the white death. The red death is the sword and white death is the plague.
  2. Several figures will appear: the one-eyed Dajjal, the Sufyani and the Yamani. Another figrue, the Pure Soul (an-Nafs az-Zakiyya), will be assassinated.
  3. The sun will rise from the West and a star will appear in the East giving out as much light as the moon.
  4. The Arabs will throw off the reins and take possession of their land, throwing out the authority of the foreigners.
  5. A caller will call out from heaven.
  6. There will be a great conflict in the land of Syria until it is destroyed.
  7. Death and fear will afflict the people of Baghdad and Iraq. A fire will appear in the sky and a redness will cover them.
Jesus and Imam Mahdi returning together

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has suggested that "Jesus would return to the world along with the emergence of the descendant of the Islam's holy prophet, Imam Mahdi". It is well known that Ahmadinejad sees himself as the chosen one to bring forth the 12th Imam, to "pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi". The suggestion that Jesus and the 12th Imam would return to earth at the same time is something new and quite disturbing.

Ahmadinejad sees Jesus and Mahdi working together to "wipe away every tinge of oppression, pain and agony from the face of the world". The Mahdi "will reign on earth for seven years before bringing about a final judgment and the end of the world". Sound familiar? In a speech (reported by WND and Ynet), Ahmadinejad offered New Year's greeting to Christians and asked WWJD (What Would Jesus Do)?

"What would Jesus do if he were present in the world today? What would he do before some of the oppressive powers of the world who are in fact residing in Christian countries? Which powers would he revive and which of them would he destroy?" asked the Iranian leader.

The Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasting website said in a program called "The World toward Illumination," that the Mahdi will form an army to defeat the enemies of Islam in a series of apocalyptic battles, in which the Mahdi will overcome his arch villain in Jerusalem.

The Mahdi's farsightedness and firmness in the face of mischievous elements will strike awe. After his uprising from Mecca all of Arabia will be submit to him and then other parts of the world as he marches upon Iraq and established his seat of global government in the city of Kufa.

Then the Imam will send 10 thousand of his forces to the east and west to uproot the oppressors. At this time God will facilitate things for him and lands will come under his control one after the other.

After his appearance the Imam would remain in Mecca for some time, and then go to Medina. ... a descendant of the Prophet's archenemy Abu Sofyan will seize Syria and attack Iraq and the Hejaz with the ferocity of a beast ... finally Imam Mahdi sends troops who kill the Sofyani in Beit ol-Moqaddas (Jerusalem), the Islamic holy city in Palestine that is currently under occupation of the Zionists.

The Iranian series also claims the Mahdi will reappear on Earth with Jesus: "We read in the book Tazkarat ol-Olia, 'the Mahdi will come with Jesus son of Mary accompanying him.' ... Imam Mahdi will be the leader while Prophet Jesus will act as his lieutenant in the struggle against oppression and establishment of justice in the world. Jesus had himself given the tidings of the coming of God's last messenger and will see Mohammad's ideals materialize in the time of the Mahdi."

What are the Imam's plans for you:

When the Imam emerges he will enlighten people by discussing religion and when people become totally aware of the nature of religion, their conscience would not permit them to reject what is right. Those who obstinately refuse to accept religion will have the sword of the Imam decisively come down on their neck. (beheaded!)
