Catholics Unveiled Masonic Jewish Plot in 1936

Pope Benedict and the future Pope Francis in Masonic (thumb on knuckle) grip. Jewish Masonry has now completely subverted the Catholic Church.

In 1936, two Catholic newspapers published accounts of speeches given at a recent B'nai Brith conclave in Paris. The article identifies the Catholic Church as the supreme enemy of Jewish Masonry. "We have blackened the Catholic Church with the most ignominious calumnies." It spells out the Illuminati Jewish program of world domination as well as do the Protocols of Zion. Paranoia or a dire warning ignored? You decide.
"And the Gentiles, in their stupidity, have proved easier dupes than we expected them to be. One would expect more intelligence and more practical common sense, but they are no better than a herd of sheep. Let them graze in our fields till they become fat enough to be worthy of being immolated to our future King of the World..."
In the London Catholic Gazette of February 1936, a sensational article was published under the heading: "The Jewish Peril and the Catholic Church".

The monthly organ of the Catholic Missionary Society of England was quoting speeches delivered in a series of secret Jewish meetings in Paris.

A few weeks later, the Parisian weekly "Le Reveil du Peuple" published a similar account, adding that the statements had been made at a recent convention of the B'nai B'rith (secret Masonic order in which no Gentile is admitted) held in Paris.

The article of  the "Catholic Gazette" read as follows:

"THE JEWISH PERIL AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH"

That there had been and still is a Jewish problem no one can deny. Since the rejection of Israel, 1,900 years ago, the Jews have scattered in every direction, and in spite of the difficulties and even persecution, they have established themselves as a power in nearly every nation of Europe.

In view of this Jewish problem, which affects the Catholic Church in a special way, we publish the following amazing extracts from a number of speeches recently made under the auspices of a Jewish society in Paris. The name of our informant must remain concealed. He is presently known to us, but by reason of his peculiar relations with the Jews at the present time, we have agreed not to disclose his identity nor to give away any further details of the Paris meeting beyond the following extracts which, though sometimes freely translated, nevertheless substantially convey the meaning of the original statements.

"As long as there remains among the Gentiles any moral conception of the social order, and until all faith, patriotism and dignity are uprooted, our reign over the world shall not come.

"We have already fulfilled part of our work, but we cannot yet claim that the whole of our work is done. We have still a long way to go before we can overthrow our main opponent: the Catholic Church...

"We must always bear in mind that the Catholic Church is the only institution which has stood, and which will, as long as it remains in existence, stand in our way. The Catholic Church, with her methodical work and her edifying and moral teachings, will always keep her children in such a state of mind, as to make them too self-respecting to yield to our domination, and to bow before our future King of Israel...

"That is why we have been striving to discover the best way of shaking the Catholic Church to her very foundations. We have spread the spirit of revolt and false liberalism among the nations of the Gentiles so as to persuade them away from their faith and even to make them ashamed of professing the precepts of their Religion and obeying the Commandments of their Church. We have brought many of them to boast of being atheists, and more than that, to glory in being descendants of the ape! We have given them new theories, impossible of realization, such as Communism, Anarchism, and Socialism, which are now serving our purpose...The stupid Gentiles have accepted them with the greatest enthusiasm, without realizing that those theories are ours, and that they constitute our most powerful instrument against themselves...

GENTILES BUILDING THEIR OWN JAILS

"We have blackened the Catholic Church with the most ignominious calumnies, we have stained her history and disgraced even her noblest activities. We have imputed to her the wrongs of her enemies, and thus brought these latter to stand more closely by our side... So much so, that we are now witnessing to our greatest satisfaction, rebellions against the Church in several countries... We have turned her clergy into objects of hatred and ridicule, we have subjected them to the contempt of the crowd... We have caused the practice of the Catholic religion to be considered out of date and a mere waste of time...

"And the Gentiles, in their stupidity, have proved easier dupes than we expected them to be. One would expect more intelligence and more practical common sense, but they are no better than a herd of sheep. Let them graze in our fields till they become fat enough to be worthy of being immolated to our future King of the World...

"We have founded many secret associations, which all work for our purpose, under our orders and our direction. We have made it an honour, a great honour, for the Gentiles to join us in our organizations, which are, thanks to our gold, flourishing now more than ever. Yet it remains our secret that those Gentiles who betray their own and most precious interests, by joining us in our plot should never know that these associations are of our creation and that they serve our purpose...

"One of the many triumphs of our Freemasonry is that those Gentiles who become members of our Lodges, should never suspect that we are using them to build their own jails, upon whose terraces we shall erect the throne of our Universal King of Israel; and should never know that we are commanding them to forge the chains of their own servility to our future King of the World.

INFILTRATION

"So far, we have considered our strategy in our attacks upon the Catholic Church from the outside. But this is not all. Let us now explain how we have gone further in our work, to hasten the ruin of the Catholic Church, and how we have penetrated into her most intimate circles, and brought even some of her Clergy to become pioneers of our cause.

"Apart altogether from the influence of our philosophy, we have taken other steps to secure a breach in the Catholic Church. Let me explain how this has been done.

"We have induced some of our children to join the Catholic body, with the explicit intimation that they should work in a still more efficient way for the disintegration of the Catholic Church, by creating scandals within her. We have thus followed the advice of our Prince of the Jews, who so wisely said: 'Let some of your children become canons, so that they may destroy the Church'. Unfortunately, not all among the 'convert' Jews have proved faithful to their mission. Many of them have even betrayed us! But, on the other hand, others have kept their promise and honored their word. Thus the counsel of our Elders has proved successful.

REVOLUTION

"We are the Fathers of all Revolutions - even of those which sometimes happen to turn against us. We are the supreme Masters of Peace and War. We can boast of being the Creators of the REFORMATION! Calvin was one of our Children; he was of Jewish descent, and was entrusted by Jewish authority and encouraged with Jewish finance to draft his scheme in the Reformation.

"Martin Luther yielded to the influence of his Jewish friends, and again, by Jewish authority and with Jewish finance, his plot against the Catholic Church met with success...

"Thanks to our propaganda, to our theories of Liberalism and to our misrepresentations of Freedom, the minds of many among the Gentiles were ready to welcome the Reformation. They separated from the Church to fall into our snare. And thus the Catholic Church has been very sensibly weakened, and her authority over the Kings of the Gentiles has been reduced almost to naught...

"We are grateful to Protestants for their loyalty to our wishes - although most of them are, in the sincerity of their faith, unaware of their loyalty to us. We are grateful to them for the wonderful help they are giving us in our fight against the stronghold of Christian Civilization, and in our preparations for the advent of our supremacy over the whole world and over the Kingdoms of the Gentiles.

"So far we have succeeded in overthrowing most of the Thrones of Europe. The rest will follow in the near future. Russia has already worshiped our rule, France, with her Masonic Government, is under our thumb. England, in her dependence upon our finance is under our heel; and in her Protestantism is our hope for the destruction of the Catholic Church. Spain and Mexico are but toys in our hands. And many other countries, including the U.S.A., have already fallen before our scheming.

CHURCH WAS LAST BASTION

"But the Catholic Church is still alive...

"We must destroy her without the least delay and without the slightest mercy. Most of the Press in the world is under our Control; let us therefore encourage in a still more violent way the hatred of the world against the Catholic Church. Let us intensify our activities in poisoning the morality of the Gentiles. Let us spread the spirit of revolution in the minds of the people. They must be made to despise Patriotism and the love of their family, to consider their faith as a humbug, their obedience to their Church as a degrading servility, so that they may become deaf to the appeal of the Church and blind to her warnings against us. Let us, above all, make it impossible for Christians outside the Catholic Church to be reunited with that Church, or for non-Christians to join that Church; otherwise the greatest obstruction to our domination will be strengthened and all our work undone. Our plot will be unveiled, the Gentiles will turn against us, in the spirit of revenge, and our domination over them will never be realized.

"Let us remember that as long as there still remain active enemies of the Catholic Church, we may hope to become Masters of the World... And let us remember always that the future Jewish King will never reign in the world before the Pope in Rome is dethroned, as well as all the other reigning monarchs of the Gentiles upon earth."

The Purification Process, Sin, and the Sin that Leads to Death

The Purification Process - John describes the Light, who is Christ — how His blood cleanses us from all sin.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
John in the very next verses explains how Christ's blood cleanses us from all sin. He said:
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (We start as sinners, before being cleansed.) If we do not deny our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse (or purify) us from all unrighteousness. (All unrighteousness is sin.) If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. 1 John 1:8-10, 5:17 
When you examine these verses in lieu of the verses before and after the above three, this is the meaning:

With faith in the name of Jesus, we go to the Light (Jesus) in humble silence to wait, listen and watch, hoping for purification by his blood and grace. If we go claiming to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, we have no humility, and we get no help; the truth is not in us. If when He (the Light) shows us our sins and we acknowledge them, He will forgive and cleanse us of that sin. But, if when He (the Light) shows us our sins, and if we claim to be without the sin that He has shown us, thinking He is not the Truth, thinking whom we hear to be a liar, we receive no help from Him; and His word fails to be planted in our heart, so that it can control us in the future. Thus we have rejected Christ as a liar and we have shown our hate for Him, John 3:19-20. But if we accept His conviction as true, He forgives us, cleanses us from sin, and His word stays in our heart to keep us from sin.

This is how we are cleansed from sins until we are clean and purified. We believe what the Light shows us, and that the light is Christ. We believe Jesus within, the true Light, given to every man who comes into the world so that he might believe. John 1:7,9

It is not enough to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, and resurrected from the dead. We must believe what he says to be true and then act on it. Faith without works of loving obedience to God is dead. James 2:20, Gal 5:6 Jesus also told us to "believe in the light so that you may become children of the light." John 12:36 It is not enough to believe there is a light, we must believe what the light shows and tells us to be true, and then act on it. It is by grace through faith that we are saved, (delivered from all sins). By waiting on God, we receive the teachings of grace, the convictions of grace, and the removal of sin by grace, ending in our salvation by grace.

John in the next verses, continues:
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:1-6
Starting as spiritual little children, if we obey the Word that we hear him say to us or what he shows us in the Light, (Jesus being the Light and the Word), and if we abide in Him, we are of the truth and we know we are in Him, and God's love is perfected in us, resulting in us walking as Jesus walked, in love and truth. We progress from little children, to become young men that have overcome the wicked one, to then become Fathers in the truth; we grow up to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

John continues:
And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.1 John 3:3 
Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4 
And you know that he appears [in us] to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1 John 3:5 
Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 1 John 3:6 
For this purpose the Son of God is revealed [in us], that he might destroy [in us] the works [sin] of the devil. 1 John 3:8 
The purpose of the Son is to destroy the devil and his works [sin] in us — if we go to him.
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. 1 John 3:9
John repeats later for emphasis:
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but He who is fathered by God protects him [the man], and the wicked one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18 
And His seed [Christ] are the words he has planted in your heart, words that you have heard, the Word of God. Luke 8:15
The words are grafted into your heart, forming Christ within you, until He is fully formed and resurrected in you. Those words we hear Him speak to us are engrafted into your heart, James 1:21; and those words we hear Him speak to us are Spirit and impart the life of God to us, John 6:63; which life of God is Christ, John 1:5, 14:6, so that Christ is formed within you, Gal 4:19. Until finally Christ is fully formed and actually resurrected in you. 2 Cor 4:14,Col 2:11-12,3:1,Eph 2:5-6,Rom 8:11

You then see Christ, the glory of God, appear in your heart and witness Him bringing your salvation and eternal life.
From the Word of the Lord within: "We go to Him, and He rains help upon us; well does this exercise of God purify those who do."
The false prophets take 1 John 1:8 out of context: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, and say that proves no one can ever be without sin; ignoring the next statements and ignoring the context of the process of purification being referenced. To be purified you have to have sin to start, or purification is not even necessary. John is referencing sin that is to be destroyed, not carried to the grave.

This is how to kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God). Col 3:5

What is Sin and Its Consequences?

Jesus told us what defiles us:
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies. These are the things that defile a man; Mat 15:19-20
Whatever comes out of the man is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lack of restraint, an evil eye [envy], blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within a man, and defile him. Mark 7:20-23
And Jesus tells us the consequence of being defiled: to be unable to enter heaven when you die:
And in no way shall there enter into it anything that is defiled, Rev 21:27
Paul clearly states the consequences of sin:
But to those who are selfishly ambitious [selfish], and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness; those receive indignation and wrath, Affliction and distress; upon every soul of man who does evil [sins], of the Jew first and also of the Gentile; For all [the non-Jews] who [continue to] sin without the law will also perish without the law; and all [the Jews] who [continue to] sin under the law will be judged by the law; For when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, do [obey] by instinct the things contained in the law, these men who do not have the law, are a law to themselves. Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, and their conscience also bears witness; while their thoughts accuse or else excuse them. All this occurs in the day when God will judge the secrets of men's hearts by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. Rom 2:8-9,12,16 
The acts of the sinful nature include sexual immorality, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, [greed], sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, etc....those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21 
You can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person..has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Eph 5:5-6 
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor passive male homosexual partners, nor dominant male homosexual partners, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor oppressive cheaters; these will not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor 6:9-10 
Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Cor 15:50
The flesh and blood he is referencing, means that if you are still walking according to your fleshly lusts and desires, not walking according to the promptings of the Spirit, then you cannot inherit the Kingdom of God:
For those who live according to the flesh, aim in satisfying things of the flesh; but those who live after the Spirit, aim to satisfy the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God. For it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be. So then those who are in the flesh [live in their sinful nature] cannot please God. Rom 8:5-8
For our conduct to become acceptable to God, and without sin, the sinful, selfish nature that we all possess must be destroyed by the grace of the Holy Spirit. While we must make every effort to not lie, not cheat, not indulge in sexual immorality, not be ambitious, not be greedy, not get angry, not hate, not steal, etc., that is only the beginning. We must have even the desires removed from our heart. For as Jesus said:
You have heard that it was said to them of old, 'You shall not kill, and whoever kills shall be in danger of the judgment.' But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother will be subjected to judgment; Mat 5:21-22 
You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' I say to you that whoever looks on a woman with lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Mat 5:27-28
And then to explain how serious these sins in the heart are, He gives us a graphic warning:
If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your body parts should perish, rather than your whole body should be cast into hell; And if your right hand offends you, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your body parts should perish, rather than that your whole body should be cast into hell. Mat 5:29-30
He doesn't want us to maim ourselves. He is only illustrating how serious sin is. Jesus is desperately trying to tell us that to enter the Kingdom and escape hell, sin is not allowed, period. He knew false prophets with false gospels promising freedom to continue to sin would arise after he left. Changes in our heart through the missing cross to purity can take away the desire of the hand, foot, and eye to cause us to sin.

So you can see that only God can cleanse our heart of sin. Only His supernatural power can make us acceptable to God. Even our thoughts have to be changed. We cannot continue to walk through this life according to the decisions of our mind and our imaginations:
Paul, writing to those who had been changed by the grace of God, wrote: Among whom we also all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the thoughts of our mind; and were by nature the children of wrath and the object of His indignation, just as the rest of mankind. Eph 2:3
God has even told us that walking according to our imagination is worse than worshipping stone and wooden idols. Why? Because we have made yourself God, serving our selfish motives and desires, serving our will, not the will of God.
Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; And you have done worse than your fathers; for behold, every one of you walks after the imagination of his evil heart, and therefore you do not listen to and obey me. Jer 16:11-12 
For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. Gen 8:21 
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings [works]. Jer 17:9-10 
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts. Pro 21:2 
Let the ungodly forsake his way, and the unrighteous man [forsake] his thoughts:...For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:7-9 
Everyone is ungodly and unrighteous until the Spirit has destroyed their sinful nature on the inward cross of self-denial, which destroys the selfish, vain, carnal mind with its thoughts. The basic operation of grace is teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and how to live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Tit 2:11-12
I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts. Isaiah 65:2 
The thoughts of the unrighteous are detestable (foul, disgusting) to the LORD, but the words of the pure are pleasant words. Pro 15:26
This verse contrasts the two types of people: the unrighteous and the pure; there is no in-between. We are not fit company to God, until we are purified. He hears all of our evil thoughts, and they grieve him.
The LORD knows the thoughts of man, and that they are vanity. Psalm 94:11
Our conduct has to change, our evil thoughts have to be destroyed by God, and our words have to become supplied by God, not from our evil heart and mind. If you are still sinning, sin is your master, and the Lord cannot be your Lord or Master because as the Lord said, you cannot serve two masters.
From the Word of the Lord within: "If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me. Those who belong to Christ are through with sin. Remember, every person who sins, denies Him as Lord and Master." 
Don't fool yourself to think you are not sinning; for until you are guided by the light of the Lord in every word to speak and every deed to be done, you are walking in the ways of the world, according to the prince of the power of the air, (Satan), in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of your flesh and the thoughts of your mind; and that is walking in darkness, which is sin. Until your imagination and carnal mind have been destroyed by the Lord and replaced with the mind of Christ, you are still sinning.

We have already seen that what comes out of our mouth, shows how our hearts are defiled; and Jesus has given us several other warnings regarding our words:
let your 'yes' be 'yes,' and your 'no,' 'no;' for whatever is more than these comes from the evil one. Mat 5:37
Notice! Jesus has told us that our words come from the Spirit of Satan; our hearts must be cleansed from sin until our heart and soul is purified, and then our words come from the Spirit of God.
But I say to you, for every idle [ineffective] word that men speak, they will give an account of the same in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Mat 12:36-37
Every word we have spoken in our life that was not first heard from God telling us what to say, will be a part of our judgment after death. God judges every man not only by his words, but also by his deeds or works; every man means no exceptions — every man, even those who believe in Jesus:
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened. And another book was opened, that is the book of life. And the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and every man was judged according to his works. Rev 20:12-13 
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he will reward every man according to his works. Mat 16:27 
I am he who searches the minds and the hearts; and I will give to each of you according to your works. Rev 2:23 
I the LORD search the heart, I try the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings [works]. Jer 17:10 
Shall he not render to every man according to his works? Pro 24:12 
the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his deeds. Rom 2:5-6 
man's work will be exposed. For the day [of the Lord] will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will try and test every man's work, of what sort it is, 1 Cor 3:13; for everyone will be salted with fire. Mark 9:49
Perhaps you are beginning to see how serious sin is, and the necessity of having it destroyed by the Spirit of God. Unless we become free of sin in this life, we will be banned from heaven when we die. But, these sins do not make you unfit for God's help by grace to eliminate them. Jesus came to destroy sin and the works of evil in us — if we go to him.
For this purpose the Son of God is revealed [in us], that he might destroy [in us] the works [sin] of the devil. 1 John 3:8
If we go to him, in humble silence to persistently and patiently sit and wait for his instructions, through His grace the Spirit will redeem us from all iniquity and purify us to be a people of his very own fit to be directed by him to do works that show the power and love of God to the world:
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and how to live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; as we receive the blessed fulfillment of our hope, even the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity [lawless deeds, sin], and purify for himself a people who are his very own, zealous for good works. Titus 2:11-14
If we go to Him and wait on Him, the Spirit will even show us the sins in our heart of which we were not even conscious:
You have set our iniquities before you, and our secret sins in the light of your countenance. Psa 90:8 
I am he who searches the minds and the hearts; Rev 2:23 
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and expose the motives of your hearts. 1 Cor 4:5 
I the LORD search the heart, I try the mind, Jer 17:10 
For the word of God is quick [living], and powerful [active], and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner and judge of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12
If we go to Him and wait on Him, the Spirit will circumcise and mortify our heart from all sin evil:
But he is a Jew, who is one inwardly; and the circumcision is that of the heart, by the Spirit, Rom 2:29 
In whom you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision performed by Christ. Col 2:11 
For if you live after the flesh [the sinful nature], you will die; but if through the Spirit you mortify [put to death] the deeds of the body, you will live. Rom 8:13 
Therefore mortify [put to death] the deeds of the body that are of the earthly life: fornication, impurity, inordinate affections, evil lusts of the flesh, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Col 3:5 
Strip yourselves of your former nature that controlled your conduct, which corrupts itself through lusts and desires that spring from delusion. Eph 4:22 
From the Word of the Lord within: "We go to him, and he rains help on us; well does this exercise of God purify those who do." 
Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19 
Jesus said, 'I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.' John 8:34. If you are a slave to sin, Jesus cannot be your Lord. Jesus said himself, you cannot serve two masters! Luke 16:13 
The wages of sin is death. Rom 6:23 
John said, Anyone who hates his brother has committed murder in his heart. 1 John 3:15 
Paul said: You are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness. Rom 6:16 
Paul said: Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 1 Cor 15:34
Jesus said:
Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit. Mat 12:33 
From the Word of the Lord within: "A tree that is holy is a good one." 
Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Matt 3:10 
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against these there is no law. Gal 5:22-23 
By your producing of much fruit, my Father is honored and glorified, and you show that you are truly my disciples [true followers]. John 15:8 
Paul said: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Gal 5:24
The False Prophets tell you that your sins, (past, present, and future), are excused because you believe in Jesus.

Regarding false prophets, Jude said: For certain men, whose condemnation was written about long ago, have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Jude 1:4. (They called themselves Christians, they call Him Lord, but like Judas they betray Him by continuing to sin.)

Regarding false prophets, Peter said: even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which some things are hard to understand, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. 2 Peter 3:15-17. The wicked tell you that God will overlook your sins because you believe in Jesus; the wicked will tell you that you are righteous while still sinning: He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;" him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him. Prov 24:24

Regarding false prophets, Peter said: This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. 2 Peter 2:10,13

Regarding false prophets Peter said: These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.  For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those [lustful desires of sinful nature] who live in error. They promise them freedom, [to continue in their sinful lifestyle] while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 2 Peter 2:17-19

Regarding false Christians, Paul said: Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. Phil 3:17-19

Regarding the false prophet's doctrine of instant salvation by grace: from the Word of the Lord within, "it is twisted, pernicious lies, a fatal flaw that turns aside the just."

The False Prophets tell you that no one can become sin free in this life, yet the Bible, which they claim to be their authority, totally conflicts with their teaching.
Jesus said: If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32 [from sin!]
[He is not talking about the Bible — it wasn't even printed until 1456. He is talking about the word you hear, his voice. The Bible can't make you free by studying it, but if you go to Jesus and listen to his voice and obey, he can make you free.]
Jesus said: So if the Son liberates you, then you are really and unquestionably free. John 8:36 [from sin!] 
Having then been set free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness. Rom 6:18 
But now being made free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have the fruit [reward] of holiness, and at the end, everlasting life. Rom 6:22 
I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 2:13,14 
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity [lawless deeds, sin], and purify for himself a people who are his very own, zealous for good works. Tit 2:14 
He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God is revealed [in us], that he might destroy [in us] the works [sin] of the devil. Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, for his seed [Christ] remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:8-9 
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but God protects the one he has fathered, and the wicked one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18
Regarding false prophets that teach you cannot become free of sin in this life, the Word of the Lord within said:
"Those who preach against perfection have a lack of earnest faith. The leaders of Christianity are dogs — blind, dumb, ignorant dogs; professing to know everything, they know nothing; professing to know everything, they live their lives as fools. There is no hope; there is no guidance, other than 'study the scriptures.' These people are far from me, living in sin and teaching others the inevitability of sin until death."
The gospel of Jesus promises the release from the bondage of sin, the Kingdom of God while on earth, and union with God. To realize the promises of God's grace, you must seek Him, which Jesus told us to make our first priority in life. Mat 6:33. To seek Him, he said for us to come to Him. He said to sit at his feet and listen for Him was the good part, the one thing needed, and what will not be taken away. So we sit in humble silence as we listen for his voice and words, and watch for his revelations. When we hear his commands, we obey Him. The Bible calls this waiting on God. To wait on God is to persistently sit in humble silence, listen for his voice and words, watch for his revelations, hear his commands, and then obey Him. This waiting is how we receive the promises of the gospel, including salvation from sin by grace through faith:
To those who persistently and patiently wait for him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation. Heb 9:28 
And being made perfect, he [Jesus] became the author and source of eternal salvation to all those who heed and obey him. Heb 5:9
By waiting on God, we receive the teachings of grace, the convictions of grace, and the removal of sin by grace, ending in our salvation by grace, (salvation being delivered from all sins).

Sin that Leads to Death Examined
John said, "If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that." 1 John 5:16 
Let's analyze scripture to understand the sin that leads to death:

There are two stages in perfection [and purity] through the grace of Christ: 1st) to be raised up to the perfection of Adam and Eve in paradise, but still capable of falling to temptation, and 2nd) to be born again and raised up to union with Christ Jesus, an everlasting perfection, which is incapable of falling to sin or temptation.

The first stage of perfection occurs after you have crucified your sinful nature and received the fruit of the Spirit; here you learn to be continually watchful against temptation. After reaching this first stage of perfection, should we fall to temptation, unless we willfully disobey, we can still choose to repent as we walk in the light and the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin, 1 John 1:7. However, once we have arrived at this first stage of perfection and purity, if we willfully disobey the Lord, then we are lost; this is the sin that leads to death.

Since in this first stage of perfection you enter paradise and have fellowship with the Father and the Son, then you certainly have the knowledge of the truth that Heb 10:26-29 states results in no further repentance possible for willful sin.

But this only applies after purity, after looking into the face of Jesus, and which is knowledge of the glory of God, who is the truth. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6

In the past, after having been 'saved,' I stupidly committed some grievous sins; I asked if there was still hope for me. His exact words to me were: "Until you look me in the face, and then return to sin, you can come back to me." I had not even started the journey to purity.

(And I add: seeing His face in a dream is not even close to seeing his face appear in you heart, in ever increasing glory, which only occurs after you have been crucified, freed from all sin, have died to the law through the law, and you are pure — the first stage of perfection.)

To look Jesus in the face, you have to be pure: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Mat 5:8 This purity occurs in the first stage of perfection. Until you are purified, (and receive knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus, who is the truth), and then willfully disobey the commands of the Lord guiding you, your sins can be cleansed and forgiven. So you still have the hope of purity. You still have changing grace available to you. You still have the chance to attain salvation.

From the Word of the Lord within:
  • "Don't even say, 'I don't have another chance.'" Even worse is to believe it and give up; no matter how many times you fail, no matter how sick of yourself you have become, the Lord has not given up on you. Just express your sorrow, regret you weakness, resolve to better, and go right back to waiting on Him with hope for change, confident of His wonderful mercy.
  • "I will not let my mercy go cold." 
I can testify to wonderful and marvelous changes that he has made in me through his grace, since my sins. And the sins were committed after I had supposedly been saved. I frequently hear from very depressed people who left their sect years ago, sinned, and now feel unworthy to seek again — not true! These people had never been freed from sin. They had only been 'saved' and studied the Bible. You can't lose what you never had. To be truly saved, is by the power of grace, to have you heart changed, cleansed, purified — so He controls your words and deeds. They had never received the changing, purifying grace of God. Their only defense against sin was willpower, which fails.  (If they go back to their deficit sect's ways, they will only fail again; for without divine help, they cannot walk without failure.)

As you are being purified, you are of course not pure, so you still sin, even if you think you have been 'saved.' Saved from what? To be truly saved, is to be delivered from sin.

There are many examples of early Quakers, who had first been a part of one or more deficit sects without the formula for power over sin. After reading the Bible, being baptized, and supposedly being saved; they then returned to sin, with awareness of sinning. Then after hearing the true hope with the way of the cross, they conquered sin by the power of God, to become pure, holy, righteous, justified, and enter the Kingdom of God. Three of the many examples are: James Parnell, and Stephen Crisp, and Mary Penington.

If after one has been touched by God with a wake up experience, and should they then continue to sin, they will gradually deaden their conscience until they no longer can be aroused to depart from sin; and in that process, they finally crucify the Son of God afresh. Their hearts become so calloused and hardened in their sins, they can no longer be reached by God's voice within, or man's voice without. (Gentle reader, if you have read with sincere interest this far, your heart has not been hardened so much that you cannot hear; and you can still return to the Lord to receive his changing grace.)

Let me illustrate why the false sects are so deadly: I was an agnostic until age 36. My moral code was very humanistic, believing that as long as I didn't harm others, everything was OK. My life was full of sin until I realized there was a God who was watching everything I did. I immediately reformed and stopped many, many practices of evil, knowing I was in his view at all times. Now compare that against a "believer in Jesus," who is told by his sect that all his sins are excused and paid for by Jesus; or in the case of Catholic and Orthodox sects, their confessions and their Eucharistic Sacrifice, (which is supposed to expiate sin), made until they die, with never a hint as to how to stop sinning. Thus a man in Christendom is easily led into sin after sin, and in the process he deadens his conscience and the light of Christ within him, until finally he has crucified the Son of God afresh.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come; if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance; since they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame. Heb 6:4-6. 
So Christendom has become the synagogues of Satan, the killing ground of the seed of God, and the habitation of demons, filled with unclean birds; as William Penn said in No Cross No Crown: they kiss him like Judas, call Him Master like Judas, sell Him to continue their lusts and pleasures of the world, and then drag him through the mire and dirt as they continue to sin.

The Lord describes this repeat of sin—sacraments, sin again—sacraments again,...... as a conflagration: a great fire or great destruction. From the Word of the Lord within:
  • "Sacraments: conflagration — to continue to do what you are not supposed to do, and afterwards be overcome with grief as to what you have done.
  • Church: forever sorry for what you have done, while at the same time turning right around and doing it again; it feeds itself.
  • Great is the destruction of those places of worship.
  • The Christian medium itself is conformable to death."
Until they have killed their conscience through repeated sin, they can still hear and possibly be motivated to renew their efforts to exercise their faith; but for every act of disobedience they committed, after being convicted of some particular sin in the light, they must first effect the same number of acts of obedience before that sin is taken out of their heart. From the Word of the Lord within: "When the light shows you something to do, every act of disobedience has to be carried away by an act of obedience."
John said, All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. 1 John 5:17 
The Lord... is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. 2 Pet 3:9 
All said and done, in Revelation, Jesus said: Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done meeting the requirements of  My God or perfect in His sight. Rev 3:2 
As Paul preached: I declared.. that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. Acts 26:20

The Mystery..Christ in You, the Hope of Glory

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Col 1:27-28 
There are five major steps and measures of Christ in you:

I. The first measure of Christ is the Light, Christ, that is in all men that come into the world. Everyone also has the Holy Spirit of God, because it was poured out on all mankind at Pentecost, (Acts 2:14-21), and the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal, 1 Cor 12:7. His Spirit is chained down, subject to your selfish spirit that rules you; you drag him through all your sin and filth throughout your life. This seed of God is waiting to be sought, listened to, and obeyed —which causes growth. From the seed of Christ, which is chained down within a man, Christ must increase, while the rebellious spirit of man decreases —until finally Christ appears within a man, to be seen, to be witnessed, to bring salvation, to bring the Kingdom, to bring glory to the purified believer. This seed, light, or spirit of God is your talent, which must be improved in this life; if you fail to grow it, in the next life the small measure of Christ in you is taken away from you and given to another who has improved their talent, while you are cast into outer darkness as a wicked and unworthy servant, (where in spirit without body or soul you learn the hard way about God vs. man, sin vs. righteousness, love vs. lust, light vs. darkness, obedience vs. rebellion, pride vs. humility). Step I is the seed of God in you, chained down.
  1. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:4-5 [The light in every man shines in the darkness of man, pleading with him to forsake evil; but man in his darkness does not grasp what God is trying to explain to him.]
  2. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came as a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him [the Light] might believe. Which was the true Light that enlightens every man who comes into the world. John 1:7-9
  3. This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.' Acts 2:16-17 This was Pentecost, 2000 years ago; the Spirit was poured out on all people. 
  4. the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal, 1 Cor 12:7
  5. the grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men. Tit 2 11 (Grace appears to all, but each man must choose to respond to the grace to receive salvation.)
The deficit sects look to an outward God in a far-off heaven, and heed the words of the Bible instead of the Light and Word (Christ) within them. The early Quakers preached Christ within, and the Protestants severely persecuted them; yet what they preached was plainly stated throughout the Bible, as below:
Am I not a God at hand," says the Lord, "and not a God far away? Jer 23:23 
What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. 1 Cor 6:19 
So that they should seek the Lord, and perhaps might feel after him and find him, though he is not far from every one of us. For in him we live and move, and have our being, Acts 17:24-28 
I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Cor 6:16, Lev 26:12 
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph 4:6 
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ is formed in you. Gal 4:19
Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Cor 3:16 
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, Eph 3:17 
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col 1:27 
because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. Rom 1:19 
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 
Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves. Do you not know yourself, that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you are reprobates [tested, rejected]? 2 Cor 13:5 
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another [with words from Christ in your hearts] in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Col 3:16 
But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:9-10 
God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father." Gal 4:6 
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:27 
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; (love, peace, joy, patience, gentleness, kindness). John 15:5-6, Gal 5:22-23 
When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. John 15:8
To seek God and find him, (to see him within), is the whole purpose of life. He [God] has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the allotted times and the boundaries of their habitation; so that they should seek the Lord, and perhaps might feel after him and find him, though he is not far from every one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in you all.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6
The deficit sects are just like the Pharisees, who had the scriptures, but who did not hear God or see God, and so rejected Jesus — as Jesus said in John 5:37-40:
And the Father himself, who has sent me.. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form. And you do not have his word abiding in you; for you do not believe him whom he has sent. You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are those that testify of me. But you will not come to me, that you might have life. (Come — not to sect services, not to prayer meetings, not to altar calls — but come directly to him, by silently waiting on him, listening for his voiced commands and teachings.)
The deficit sects reject the Jesus within us, waiting for us to seek him so he can teach us, so he can love us, so he can save us, so he can unite with us to be an entirely new creature. Now if, as scripture tells us, God and Christ abide in a man, of course Christ can lead us to salvation. And what would you rather depend on for a guide and a teacher: a book, or a living, all powerful, perfect, merciful, all knowing God —who promises to lead us into all truth, to teach us all things, to show us the way, to guide us, to let us see with his eyes — but to be taught, we must humbly approach him as a sinner and be quiet so we can listen and hear.

God does not teach us from a book. Man teaches that way. God teaches us by revelation, by his word and light in our hearts: Because that which may be known of God is revealed in them; for God has shown it to them. Rom 1:19. And yes, at the end of your journey to God, he will show you the events of the scriptures —mark show, not describe, not read to you, not tell you about them, show; and then you will fully understand the scriptures as well as the mysteries of godliness.
"The Father is in you all, Christ is in you, and the Kingdom of Heaven is in you; there, in your hearts, is where you will find them all. Know him there searching your hearts, and find him there trying your minds and hearts; incline your ears, and give ear to him there, who will render to everyone of you according to your words and works whether they are good or evil." (George Fox)
II. When we believe the hope of the gospel, we begin to seek God. We may read the Bible to the point we have it memorized, but we are still right where we started, just with more knowledge about him, not of him. We are still in the flesh, still with our carnal minds which are enmity to God, with a faith in the historical accuracy of Jesus' life. Just the belief in his name is enough for us to be able to access the grace of God.  But to receive this changing, purifying grace, we must: come to him, listen to him, and obey him. When we hear Him, or see what He shows us, and we obey Him because we believe who is communicating with us to be the Son of God, we have received Christ, and having received Him, we are granted the power or right to become a Son of God.

From the Word of the Lord within: "When you are sure that he who is speaking to you is Christ, you have received Him." Now we have laid the sure foundation of faith that will survive the storms to come, (for those determined to live a godly life will meet with persecution.)
  1. “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith which we preach. Rom 10:8 You must have faith in the word which is within you, in your heart and mouth; faith enough to listen, and faith enough to obey the heard commands. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, Rom 10:17 (hearing the word of God within your heart).
  2. For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My spoken words and does them, ['does them' means to obey the spoken words, (commands) of Jesus, heard by the listener], I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock. But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:47-49 ('does not practice doing My words' —means to not obey- to not follow his orders). 
  3. But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you do not need any man to teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you abide in him. 1 John 2:27
  4. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Rev 3:20 He stands at the door of everyone's heart knocking for their entire life, waiting for them to listen. Notice he says if you hear my voice, (not someone reading the Bible, not an altar call), if after you hear his voice, if you open the door —by acknowledging his voice as the Son of God — receiving him with honor, then, and only then, he will come in give you food and eat with you. And where is in? It isn't church, it isn't your house, it isn't Bible study —he comes into your HEART! Inside our hearts is where all the changes have to take place. He has to circumcise our hearts to make us pleasing to him, making a new heart, giving us a new mind, giving us new deeds and words, making us a new creature - until then you, the old fleshly creature, has to die, on the cross, the inward cross of self-denial in your heart. This is true inward religion —not outward observances of water, wine, baptisms, singing, sermons, prayer groups, etc., which are all the ritual works of the unredeemed, unchanged, fleshly man. — God must be worshiped in Spirit and Truth. 
  5. if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus. Eph 4:21
  6. the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:17 
  7. Always bearing about in the [our] flesh the same death [on the inward cross] of the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Cor 4:10 -11 For we who live are constantly progressing to death [crucifying the old man] for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus might be revealed in our mortal flesh. [As our selfish spirit, the old man, dies on the inward cross of self-denial, Jesus increases in us, like bread is leavened.] 
  8. What may be known of God is revealed in them for God has shown it to them. Rom 1:19 (Paul is saying, whatever is to be learned about God is to be revealed in a man's heart by revelation.) 
  9. Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves. Do you not know yourself, that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you are reprobates [tested, rejected]? 2 Cor 13:5
  10. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. Eph 3:16 
  11. Now to him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. Eph 3:20 The power that cleanses you, purifies you, circumcises your heart, and mortifies sin; which power is released by: 1) the true gospel, 2) the inward cross of self-denial, and 3) thinking on the name of Jesus while silently listening for the Lord's teachings and commands.
  12. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you, than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
  13. Consider carefully what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you — and even more. Mark 4:24-5
  14. Stop toiling and doing and producing for the food that perishes and decomposes, but strive and work and produce rather for the food which endures unto life eternal; John 6:27 
  15. I am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body). John 6:51 The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life-giving. John 6:63
  16. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1 John 2:5
  17. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Rom 7:15.
Here we become cognizant of our lack of control over our own emotions and passions, as Paul's first described condition of all new believers: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Rom 7:15. Once you receive Christ, as He who speaks to you and shows you your condition, while listening and watching, he begins teaching you, encouraging you, assuring you, and making changes in you. As you listen, hear, and obey — his words cause the seed to grow within you. 

III. When he deems you ready, you enter tribulation. This is part of the cross, to destroy the sinful nature within you through suffering. This produces patience, forgiveness, faith, long-suffering, trust, humility, and even hope; for even pain can be reassuring of his love: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff comfort me, Psa 23:4.
The full soul loathes a honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet, Pro 27:7. 
This is the Ministry of Condemnation that destroys the carnal mind, which is enmity with God for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. Rom 8:7 
From Letter 58: The teachers without exalt the carnal mind, but the teacher within destroys it. From the word of the Lord within: "Trust him. He will lead you and watch over you continually. He will never leave you."
  1. Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. [Tribulation is not a hard day at the office, a car wreck, or some natural difficulty; it is unmistakably, supernaturally imposed.] 1 Pet 4:1-2
  2. John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 1:9
  3. Establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. Act 14:22 
  4. your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up. 2 Thes 1:4
  5. For, in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know. 1 Thes 3:4 
  6. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation works patience. Rom 5:3 
  7. Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, 2 Corinthians 1:4
  8. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Rom 8:35 
  9. Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Romans 12:12
  10. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 
  11. Do not think it strange the fiery trial you are undergoing, but rejoice that you are participating in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed in the revelation of his glory. 1 Peter 4:12-13 
  12. [you] who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith —of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:5-7 
  13. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:18 
  14. For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes...You must submit to and endure [correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not [thus] train and correct and discipline. Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God's children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons. Hebrews 12:6-8
  15. Let us then go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his shame, contempt, and abuse. Heb 13:13
  16. Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked excessively that [all of] you be given up to him, that he might sift you like grain. Luke 22:31 
  17. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Rom 12:1 And how do you make a living sacrifice of your body? If you live after the flesh [the sinful nature], you will die; but if through the Spirit you mortify [put to death] the deeds of the body, you will live, Rom 8:13; Therefore mortify [put to death] the deeds of the body that are of the earthly life: fornication, impurity, inordinate affections, evil lusts of the flesh, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Col 3:5 
  18. If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. 2 Timothy 2:12
  19. The same sufferings are being experienced by all your brothers in the world. 1 Peter 5:9 
  20. Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12
  21. For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
  22. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous are scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  Therefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:16-19
  23. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10 
IV. After you have suffered sufficiently, Christ tests you. Passing the test(s), you receive as reward, the next measure of Christ. This occurs, having put to death the great majority of the sinful nature by aid of the Spirit, until you are led by the Spirit and assured of salvation to come with the Return of Christ. Here we are in Paul's second state of Christ: it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin which is at home in me and has possession of me. Rom 7:17. And the sin gets less and less as we await the return of Christ in his glory with his Kingdom. This is further discussed as the Interim Reward. This is the step where you are sealed with the Holy Spirit; the earnest deposit of more to come. You will hear him tell you, "an open door that has been placed before you that no one can shut." As you remain obedient to the words you hear Christ speak to you, you will later be led out of darkness to light; the Morning Star rises (comes into being) in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19
  1. it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin which is at home in me and has possession of me. Rom 7:17
  2. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Gal 5:24
  3. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— Rom 6:6
  4. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. Rom 8:9
  5. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:10 
  6. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Rom 8:11
  7. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, as we receive the blessed fulfillment of our hope — even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity [lawless deeds, sin] and purify for himself a people who are his very own, zealous for good works. Titus 2:11-14 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh (sinful nature), Gal 5:24, to become pure. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. From the Word of the Lord within: "If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me."
  8. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, sexual restraint). Gal 5:22-23 
  9. because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Gal 4:6
  10. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. Mat 10:19-20
  11. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Cor 3:16
  12. And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 1 Cor 14:25
  13. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Cor 13:5
  14. My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you. Gal 4:19
  15. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, [the word of truth is not a book], the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise. .  Eph 1:12-13 This is to hear God [the word of truth] tell you, in whom you believed,  the good news of your coming salvation. If you think the word of truth is the Bible, then you think you have found eternal life searching the scriptures; John 5:39 but your faith is incorrectly in the Bible as the word of truth. This scripture speaks of the interim reward of seeking; like when you hear the Lord say to you, "I have placed before you an open door which no one can shut," Rev 3:8, and when you receive a measure of his Spirit.
  16. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. Eph 3:16
  17. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col 1:27
  18. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I in him. John 6:56 His flesh is Words spoken to you. His blood is the Spirit by which the Words are spoken: gentleness, kindness, peaceable, easily accepted, easily understood, direct and applicable to your condition; not sarcastic, harsh, bitter, condemning, or questioning. 
  19. even so whoever continues to feed on Me shall live through and because of Me. John 6:57 
V. The next step in Christ is when he returns in glory with his Father to establish his Kingdom in your heart; you are translated into his kingdom, (paradise). We reach Paul's third state he describes in Galatians: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. At this stage you are freed from sin, which was Adam's state before he fell. Here you have peace with God and a pure fellowship in the Spirit with your fellow believers, Christ, and the Father. In this state you are like Adam, capable of falling to temptation if you do not watch carefully; but you have power to resist, and when you show your faithfulness, you go beyond the state of Adam to union with Christ and to sit down in Christ, who never fell. (Many of the New Testament letters were written in warning to those freed from sin, but still capable of becoming entangled in sin again.) This is the completion of  your salvation — salvation from the world, the evil in the world, sanctification, separation, the state of no longer being capable of falling to temptation. We are with Christ in our consciousness, sight, and awareness.
  1. Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. [home in the heart of those who obey] He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. On that day [when he appears in you] you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. John 14:20-23
  2. I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:3 This is the return of Christ. The world does not see it. He returns with the Father. They become one with us —union. It is a personal experience. This is not the resurrection. He is talking about becoming one with the disciples. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you will keep and protect them from evil. John 17:15 So, Jesus wants to keep us in the world, but to protect us from evil, while in the world- to be sanctified. Father, I desire that they also whom you have entrusted to me may be with me where I am, so they may see my glory, which you have given me — your love gift to me for you loved me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24 We are physically still in the world, but our consciousness and sight translate to the Kingdom of heaven, a higher dimension. God is in this same higher dimension; in him we live and move and have our being; who is over all, in all, and through all. And there we have fellowship with the Father and the Son. So with obedience to the cross, we can enter paradise while alive on earth, to be there forever, even after the second death.
  3. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20
  4. Unto them that look for him, shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation Heb 9:28 (He, who has been hidden, is revealed; the revelation of Christ, within the purified believer.) 
  5. When he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. 1 John 3:2-3
  6. When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.When Christ appears in you, bringing his kingdom, you will appear there also —in the kingdom within you —in glory. Col 3:4 This mystery .. is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col 1:27 
  7. For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 2 Cor 4:6 The glory of the invisible God is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
  8. Whosoever abides in him, sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him. 1 John 3:6
  9. Judas said to him, (not Iscariot), Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will obey my teaching: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our home with him. John 14:20-23 (He only appears to those who he has taught, and have obeyed him, to become pure.) On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him,"
  10. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation 21:3 
  11. He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God is revealed [in us], that he might destroy [in us] the works [sin] of the devil. Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, for his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin because he is born of God. 1 John 3:8-9
  12. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but God protects the one he has fathered, and the wicked one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18 
  13. Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
  14. In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead. Col 2:11-12 
  15. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Col 3:1 
  16. And when we were dead in our sins, He brought us to life in union and fellowship with Christ; it is through grace that you are saved; Eph 2:5
  17. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold firm the beginning of our confidence to the end, Heb 3:14
  18. By which exceedingly great and precious promises are given to us, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 1 Pet 1:4
  19. Giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Col 1:12 (Jesus dwells in unapproachable light by unregenerated men, but his sanctified saints dwell there with him as a part of him.) 
  20. Father, I desire that they also whom you have entrusted to me may be with me where I am, so they may see my glory, which you have given me — your love gift to me — for you loved me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24
  21. For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified [not in-process, but completed] are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, Heb 2:11
  22. So that they all may be one as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that you have sent me. John 17:21
  23. For we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones. Heb 5:30 
  24. But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 1 Cor 6:17 (Jesus in Spirit; so to be joined to the Lord is to be one spirit with him.)
  25. Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Col 1:13 
  26. But now since you have been set free from sin and have become the slaves of God, you have your present reward in holiness and its end is eternal life. Rom 6:22
  27. unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Luke 1:74 (Perfect love expels all fear. 1 John 4:18)

Real Repentance, The Narrow Path into the Kingdom of God!

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Isa 55:7
The Early Christians Preached Repentance and Faith PROVEN by DEEDS! 

Noah preached repentance, and as many obeyed were saved. Jonah proclaimed destruction to the Ninevites; but they, repenting of their sins, made atonement to God by prayer, and obtained salvation, although they were aliens [to the covenant] of God. The ministers of the grace of God have, by the Holy Spirit, spoken of repentance… And in another place He speaks thus: “Wash you, and become clean; put away the wickedness of your souls from before mine eyes; cease from your evil ways, and learn to do well; seek out judgment, deliver the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and see that justice is done to the widow; and come, and let us reason together. He declares, Though your sins be like crimson, I will make them white as snow; though they be like scarlet, I will whiten them like wool. And if you be willing and obey Me, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse, and will not hearken unto Me, the sword shall devour you, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken these things.” Desiring, therefore, that all His beloved should be partakers of repentance, He has, by His almighty will, established [these declarations]. Clement of Rome (A.D. 96) ch.7-8

While we are on earth, then, let us repent: for we are clay under the craftsman's hand. For in like manner as the potter, if he be making a vessel, and it get twisted or crushed in his hands, reshapes it again; but if he have once put it into the fiery oven, he shall no longer mend it: so also let us, while we are in this world, repent with our whole heart of the evil things which we have done in the flesh, that we may be saved by the Lord, while we have yet time for repentance. For after that we have departed out of the world, we can no more make confession there, or repent any more. Second Clement (A.D. 100) ch.8

While we have time to be healed, let us place ourselves in the hands of God the physician, giving Him a recompense. What recompense? Repentance from a sincere heart. Second Clement (A.D. 100) ch.9

Therefore, brethren, let us repent forthwith. Let us be sober unto that which is good: for we are full of much folly and wickedness. Let us wipe away from us our former sins, and let us repent with our whole soul and be saved. And let us not be found men-pleasers. Second Clement (A.D. 100) ch.13

Therefore, brethren, since we have found no small opportunity for repentance, seeing that we have time, let us turn again unto God that called us, while we have still One that receives us. For if we bid farewell to these enjoyments and conquer our soul in refusing to fulfill its evil lusts, we shall be partakers of the mercy of Jesus. Second Clement (A.D. 100) ch.16

I read to you an exhortation to the end that you may give heed to the things which are written, so that you may save both yourselves and him that reads in the midst of you. For I ask of you as a reward that you repent with your whole heart, and give salvation and life to yourselves. Second Clement (A.D. 100) ch.19

Only pray you for them (the Heretics), if haply they may repent. This indeed is difficult, but Jesus Christ, our true life, has power over it. Ignatius: to the Smyrnaeans (A.D. 35-105) ch.4

Yea, and to all the saints that have sinned unto this day, if they repent with their whole heart, and remove double-mindedness from their heart. For the Master swore by His own glory, as concerning His elect; that if, now that this day has been set as a limit, sin shall hereafter be committed, they shall not find salvation; for repentance for the righteous has an end; the days of repentance are accomplished for all the saints; whereas for the Gentiles there is repentance until the last day. Hermas (A.D. 150) ch.11

They then that shall repent, if they repent, will be strong in the faith, if they repent now while the tower is building. But if the building shall be finished, they have no more any place, but shall be castaways. Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg. 14

"To repent is great understanding," said he. "For the man that has sinned understands that he has done evil before the Lord, and the deed which he has done enters into his heart, and he repents, and does no more evil, but does good lavishly, and humbles his own soul and puts it to torture because it sinned. "But I say unto you," said he, "if after this great and holy calling any one, being tempted of the devil, shall commit sin, he has only one (opportunity of) repentance. But if he sin off-hand and repent, repentance is unprofitable for such a man; for he shall live with difficulty." Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg.22

You then that repent, cast away the evil doings of this world which crush you; and, by putting on every excellence of righteousness, you shall be able to observe these commandments, and to add no more to your sins. If then you add no further sin at all, you will depart from your former sins. Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg. 36

Well, do you think that the sins of those who repent are forgiven immediately? Certainly not; but the person who repents must torture his own soul, and must be thoroughly humble in his every action, and be afflicted with all the divers kinds of affliction; and if he endure the afflictions which come upon him, assuredly He Who created all things and endowed them with power will be moved with compassion and will bestow some remedy. Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg.38

"…the Lord, how great and glorious it is, and He has given (His) Spirit to those that are worthy of repentance." "Wherefore then, Sir," say I, "did they not all repent?" "To those, whose heart He saw about to become pure and to serve Him with all the heart, to them He gave repentance; but those whose craftiness and wickedness He saw, who intend to repent in hypocrisy, to them He gave not repentance, lest haply they should again profane His name." Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg. 41

Go, and tell all men to repent, and they shall live unto God; for the Lord in His compassion sent me to give repentance to all, though some of them, because of their deeds do not deserve to be saved. Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg. 42

"As many," [said he,] "as [shall repent] from their whole heart [and] shall cleanse themselves from all the evil deeds aforementioned, and shall add nothing further to their sins, shall receive healing from the Lord for their former sins, unless they be double-minded concerning these commandments, and they shall live unto God." Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg.42

These are they that have heard my commandments now, and have practiced repentance with their whole heart. So when the Lord saw that their repentance was good and pure, and that they could continue therein, he ordered their former sins to be blotted out. Hermas (A.D. 150) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg. 54

And the Lord, knowing the heart, and foreknowing the future, foresaw both the fickleness of man and the craft and subtlety of the devil from the first, from the beginning; how that, envying man for the forgiveness of sins, he would present to the servants of God certain causes of sins; skillfully working mischief, that they might fall together with himself. Accordingly, being very merciful, He has vouch-safed, in the case of those who, though in faith, fall into any transgression, a second repentance; so that should any one be tempted after his calling, overcome by force and fraud, he may receive still a repentance not to be repented of. "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shah devour the adversaries." But continual and successive repentings for sins differ nothing from the case of those who have not believed at all, except only in their consciousness that they do sin. "Born again, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh," but in the Spirit; which consists in repenting by not giving way to the same fault. For frequent repentance and readiness to change easily from want of training, is the practice of sin again. The frequent asking of forgiveness, then, for those things in which we often transgress, is the semblance of repentance, not repentance itself. Repentance then becomes capable of wiping out every sin, when on the occurrence of the soul's fault it admits no delay, and does not let the impulse pass on to a long space of time. For it is in this way that evil will be unable to leave a trace in us, being plucked away at the moment of its assault like a newly planted plant. Forgiveness of past sins, then, God gives; but of future, each one gives to himself. And this is to repent, to condemn the past deeds, and beg oblivion of them from the Father, who only of all is able to undo what is done, by mercy proceeding from Him, and to blot out former sins by the dew of the Spirit. These things, beloved, we write unto you, not merely to admonish you of your duty, but also to remind ourselves. For we are struggling on the same arena, and the same conflict is assigned to both of us. Wherefore let us give up vain and fruitless cares, and approach to the glorious and venerable rule of our holy calling. Let us attend to what is good, pleasing, and acceptable in the sight of Him who formed us. Let us look steadfastly to the blood of Christ, and see how precious that blood is to God,(1) which, having been shed for our salvation, has set the grace of repentance before the whole world. Let us turn to every age that has passed, and learn that, from generation to generation, the Lord has granted a place of repentance to all such as would be converted unto Him. Noah preached repentance, and as many as listened to him were saved.(2) Jonah proclaimed destruction to the Ninevites;(3) but they, repenting of their sins, propitiated God by prayer, and obtained salvation, although they were aliens [to the covenant] of God.

The ministers of the grace of God have, by the Holy Spirit, spoken of repentance; and the Lord of all things has himself declared with an oath regarding it, "As I live, saith the Lord, I desire not the death of the sinner, but rather his repentance ; "(4)  adding, moreover, this gracious declaration Repent O house of Israel, of your iniquity.(5) Say to the children of My people, Though your sins reach from earth to heaven, I and though they be redder(6) than scarlet, and blacker than sackcloth, yet if ye turn to Me with your whole heart, and say, Father ! I will listen to you, as to a holy(7) people." And in another place He speaks thus: "Wash  you, and become clean; put away the wickedness of your souls from before mine eyes; cease from your evil ways, and learn to do well; seek out judgment, deliver the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and see that justice is done to the widow; and come, and let us reason together. He declares, Though your sins be like crimson, I will make them white as snow; though they be like scarlet, I will whiten them like wool. And if ye be  willing and obey Me, ye shall eat the good of the land; but if ye refuse, and will not hearken unto Me, the sword shall devour you, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken these things."(8) Desiring, therefore, that all His beloved should be partakers of repentance, He has, by His almighty will, established [these declarations].
